The equipment locks out with
the flame on (red light ON)
The fault is limited to the flame
control device
• Photoresistance severed or fouled with smoke
• Insufficient draught
• Photoresistance circuit interrupted
• Fouled disc or opening
• Clean or replace
• Check all the smoke ducts in the boiler and
in the chimney
• Replace the equipment
• Clean
The burner goes to lock-out
spraying fuel but the flame
does not ignite (Red lamp on).
The trouble is in the ignition
device, providing the fuel is in
a good condition (not polluted)
with water or other impurities)
and sufficiently atomised.
• Ignition circuit severed.
• The ignition transformer leads have dried out.
• The ignition transformer leads are not properly
connected.
• Ignition transformer interrupted.
• The electrode faces are not at the right distance.
• The electrodes discharge to ground because they
are fouled or because the insulation is cracked.
Check also under the fastening terminals of the
insulating elements
• Check the entire circuit
• Replace them
• Lock them
• Replace it
• Return to the required position
• Clean or replace it as necessary
The burner goes into lock-out
spraying fuel but the flame
does not ignite. (red light on).
• Pump pressure is not regular
• Water in the fuel
• Excess of combustion air
• Air passage between disk and head too closed
• Nozzle worn out or dirty
• Remove it
• Remove it from the tank using the adequate
pump (never use the burner pump for this
operation)
• Reduce combustion air
• Correct the position of the combustion head
regulating device
• Clean or replace it
The burner goes into lock-out
without spraying fuel (Red
lamp on).
• Missing phase
• Inefficient electric motor
• Gas oil not reaching the pump
• No gas-oil in the tank
• Gate valve on the intake pipe is closed
• Clogged nozzle
• (Three-phase) motor rotates in opposite direction
to that indicated by the arrow
• Foot valve leaks or is jammed
• Defective pump
• Inefficient electrovalve
• Voltage too low
• Check power line
• Repair or replace
• Check the suction pipe
• Fill up
• Open it
• Remove it and clean it thoroughly
• Invert a phase in the power switch
• Dismantle and clean
• Replace it
• Check and, if necessary, replace it
• Contact the electric company
Noisy burner pump
• Pipe diameter too small
• Air infiltrations in the pipes
• Dirty roughing filter
• Excessive distance between the tank and the
burner or many accidental leakages (curves,
elbows, choking, etc.)
• Deteriorated hoses
• Replace it according to the instructions
• Check and eliminate such infiltrations
• Remove and wash it
• Adjust the length of the suction pipe to
reduce the distance
• Replace them
