SECOND STAGE POWER REGULATION.
After completing first ignition adjustment, turn the switch -9 towards
the maximum (MAX) so as to get the maximum air and gas
output.Check that the electric servomotor second stage gas flow
rate regulation cam is positioned at 130°.
• Use the modulator screws -33, and adjust the opening angle of the
throttle valve to 90°.
• To regulate the gas flow operate the valve pressure regulator.
Consult the instructions related to the installed gas valve model.
Avoid keeping the burner running if the heating capacity is greater
than the maximum amount allowed for the boiler, to avoid damaging
it.
• To regulate the air flow rate, use the screws -12, and correct the
rotation angle of the air shutter and put it in the suitable position to
guarantee the right quantity for the power burned.
• Check the combustion parameters with appropriate instruments
(C02 max= 10%, O2 min=3%, CO max=0,1%)
FIRST STAGE POWER REGULATION.
After having adjusted the burner at the maximum flame, return the
burner to the minimum flame. Turn the selector switch -9 towards
the minimum (MIN) without varying the adjustment of the gas valve
already performed.
• Regulate the gas flow rate to the required value using the regulation
IV for servomotor minimum power output.
• Check the combustion parameters in the 1st stage with appropriate
instruments (C02 max= 10%, O2 min=3%, CO max=0,1%)
• If needed, correct the combustion air and gas output using screws
-12 and -33 of the modulator.
ADJUSTING THE FLOW RATE FOR IGNITION
• Once regulation of the minimum output has been carried out, the
burner needs to be switched off and check that ignition occurs
properly. If necessary, it is possible to optimise burner regulation
during ignition, proceeding as follows:
- Adjust the gas flow in the start-up phase, using the adjustment
cam for ignition output adjustment. It is often advisable to set
the ignition cam at a slightly higher angle than the minimum
flame cam.
• Check that the flame detector (ionisation electrode) disconnects
the ionisation cable and activate the burner.
The equipment must run through its cycle completely and, three
seconds after the ignition flame has formed, “lock-out”.
This test should also be performed with the burner already on.
The control box should lock out immediately when the connector is
disconnected.
• Check for the efficiency of the thermostats or boiler pressure
switches (they should shut down the burner when triggered).

CAUTION / WARNING
Once the adjusting operations are completed, visually
check that the screws on which the sliding block acts has a
progressive profile. Using the special instruments check also
that in the passage from the minimum to maximum state, the
combustion parameters do not move too much away from the
optimal values.
