3. Copy the factory reset script file into the folder
updates
. The reset process will start
automatically, which can take up to 5 minutes. The LED status indicator "PWR (Power)" will
flash red during the update process and the smart camera is not available.
WARNING
Do not switch off the smart camera during the reset process. This may cause
irremediable damage to the smart camera.
4. After a few minutes, the update is finished and the LED status indicator "PWR (Power)" will
change to green. The smart camera is then ready to use.
10.2 Resetting user passwords
NOTE
The following passwords will be reset to default values:
•
User password
•
Technician password
•
Expert password
•
Administrator password
All other passwords like the FTP password for exporting reports will remain unchanged.
Should you forget your user passwords, you can reset them to default values with a specific reset
packet. Additionally, password protection will be disabled. All other settings and inspection
programs are not affected by this reset.
To use the password reset packet, please follow the same instructions as given for the factory
reset, but use the password reset packet instead (password_reset_MV.sh).
NOTE
The password protection will be disabled after the reset has been performed. You have to
enable password protection again and supply new passwords if you want to have access
control.
