Product description (continued)
4.2
Function
The power supply unit for the 3-phase network is housed
in a robust wall-mounted enclosure with IP65/67
protection. It provides four stabilized outputs that are
galvanically isolated from the input. The negative potential
of the outputs is permanently connected to PE in the
device.
Features:
– Compact size
– Wide operating temperature range
– Extremely low input inrush current
– Very high efficiencies
High transient and overvoltage resistance as well as low
electromagnetic emissions and an international approval
package enable use in almost any application.
4.2.1 Input (X1)
The device is suitable for supply from TN, TT or IT
networks and continuous operation of 3 × 380...480 V
(±15%) AC.
Do not operate the power supply unit with DC
input voltage!
4.2.2 IO-Link connection (X2)
The IO-Link interface complies with IO-Link protocol V1.1
and enables transparent data flow and monitoring of the
current status of the power supply.
For further information, see the configuration
guide at

on the product page.
4.2.3 DC output (X3/X4)
The outputs supply a nominal voltage (PELV/ES1), which is
galvanically isolated from the input voltage. The negative
potential of the outputs is permanently connected to PE in
the device (do not connect an output to PE (ground)!).
The device is designed to supply all types of loads,
including capacitive and inductive loads. If capacitors with
a capacitance > 20 mF are connected to an output, this
output may switch off after the device or output is
switched on or the load is connected.
All outputs are individually current-limited. In the event of
an overload, the individual output switches off and must be
reset manually using the reset button on the front of the
device or via IO-Link. Switching off the input voltage does
not reset the output. The error messages are stored until a
reset is intentionally triggered.
For protection reasons, a delay of at least 5 seconds is
prescribed before an output can be reset after being
switched off. Otherwise, the green LED flickers after the
key is pressed. The device is delivered with the outputs
switched on. The on/off function is not equipped with a
safety function.
The sum of the configured output power of all outputs may
exceed the total output power of the available power
budget. If this is the case, the output with the highest
number is triggered first, followed by the next output to
ensure that the lower channel number continuously
supplies current and no voltage dips occur.
