6.4 60Hz or 50Hz MOTOR OPERATION and DRIVE
OUTPUT FREQUENCY (J4 and J5)
Both jumpers must be set for the appropriate motor nameplate
frequency rating.
6.4.1 Setting the Drive for 60Hz or 50Hz Motor
Operation
The drive is factory set to operate 60Hz motors. Jumper J5 is
factory set to the “60Hz” position. For 50Hz motors, set Jumper
J5 to the “50Hz” position, and be sure Jumper J4 is set to the
“1X” position. See Figure 6-4.

6.4.2 Setting the Drive for Two Times the Rated Motor
RPM
The drive can also be used to operate the motor up to two times
the rated RPM. However, constant horsepower will result when
operating the drive in the “2X” mode above the motor rated
frequency. See Figure 6-5.
