8. Trimming beards and sideburns

Attach the blade attachment for side burns and beards as described in
section 6.

Make sure that the blade attachment is correctly fastened before using the
appliance.

Only then switch the hand unit on, using the on-off switch (switch to
position 1).
➩
Direct the blade attachment over the skin without using excessive force.
Thereby, hold the blade attachment vertically to the skin.
➩
Switch the appliance off after use (switch to position "0").
9. Cleaning and care

Remove the fitted blade attachment from the hand unit and clean it under
running water.
Important:
The hand unit is only splashproof. NEVER submerse it in water.

Dry the blade attachment completely.
➩
Clean off any hairs remaining on the attachment blades with the cleaning
brush.
➩
Periodically lubricate the blades on the attachments using the blade oil
supplied.
➩
Do not use cleaning agents or solvents. They can damage the plastic surfaces.
➩
Keep the appliance in a cool dry place.
➩
Remove the battery if you are not intending to use the appliance for a long
period.
