Stop Block Adjustment
Typically, this adjustment is to fine tune the stop block for squaring and accuracy, however,
within the limits of the adjustment slots, this may also be used to create small angles between
the stop blocks and the bending center line. This may be useful in creating a slight conning
effect to the work material.
The stop blocks have three adjustments:
•
Lateral position (width adjustment) on the back-gauge beam.
•
Depth position to fine tune the back stop setting
•
Contact block fine height adjustment.
1. Measure from the bend line center point to the
front tip of the stop block to determine if the stop
block must move forward or backward.
2. Loosen the adjustment cap screws (E).
3. Adjust the stop adjuster (F) as needed to move the
stop block forward, or backward.
4. When the stop block is in the desired position,
tighten the adjustment knob (E).
5. Repeat the process for the other two stop blocks.
6. Use the set screw (G) to raise or lower the stop
plate to contact the material squarely.
NOTICE: If the back-
gauge depth will be 1” (25.4mm) or less during operation, be very
careful to adjust the stop plates up enough to prevent contact with the bending die.
If back-gauge is moved fully forward and the stop plates contact the die, the die and or the
stop plates may be damaged. This is NOT covered by warranty.
