Installing the Battery
apply a small amount of pressure on the indentation of the bat-
tery compartment cover located on the back of the unit. simulta-
neously push down and away from the unit to release the cover.
Install two aa batteries in the battery compartment.
(Batteries are not included.)

users must wait 20 minutes after eating, drinking, or
smoking before blowing into the BacTrack Breatha-
lyzer. Failure to wait 20 minutes can provide inaccu-
rate test results and damage the sensor.
STEP 1:
Press and hold power for one full second.
To prevent the BacTrack Breathalyzer from ac-
cidentally turning on, tapping the power button for
less than one second will not cause it to turn on.
STEP 2:
after powering on, the unit will count
down quickly from 50 to zero. This countdown
takes approximately 10 seconds.
STEP 3:
when the countdown approaches 10,
begin to inhale a deep breath.
