Installation location of the baby unit and parent unit
1. Baby
unit
■
Locate the baby unit A

on an even, dry and stable surface in the room where you want to monitor
your child. We recommend an elevated location (e.g. chest of drawers or a shelf) at a suffi cient distance
away from equipment and devices that could cause signal interference.
■
When the baby unit A

is to be powered from the grid, locate it within reach of a power socket. In
order to minimise electro-smog, the baby unit A
2
should be located at least 1 m away from your child.
■
Turn the camera panel B

so that the camera lens B

covers the area that you wish to monitor.
Attention:
Never locate the baby unit A
2
or the power adapter A
3
in the baby's bed or within the reach of
your child.
2. Parent
unit
■
Place the parent unit A

in the room where you will be located. When the parent unit A
1
is to be
powered from the grid, locate it within reach of a power socket.
Power source
1. External power source and its use
■
To power the baby and parent units A

and A
1
from an external power source, use only the original
power adapters A

type JF005WR-0500100VH (output 5 V , 1 A).
■
Insert the plug of one of the power adapters A

into the socket B

that is located at the side of the
baby unit A

. Insert the plug of the power adapter A

into a power socket.

Insert the plug of the second power adapter A

into the socket C

that is located at the side of the
parent unit A

. Insert the plug of the power adapter A

into a power socket.
Attention:
Before connecting the power adapter A
3
to a power socket, make sure the voltage stated on its
rating label corresponds to the voltage in the power socket.
2. Internal power source and its use

To power the baby and parent units A
2
and A
1
using an internal power source, use the supplied
rechargeable Li-Ion batteries (3.7 V / 800 mAh / 3.3 Wh).

Inserting and removing the battery
–
For safety reasons, the battery compartment cover B
qa
on the baby unit A
2
is secured by
a screw. Remove the screw. Take off the cover. Insert the Li-Ion battery into the compartment

so that the contacts point towards the bottom right corner of the compartment B

. Put
the cover back on and secure in place with the screw. To remove the battery from the baby unit
A
2
, proceed in the reverse sequence.
