Threading the needle
This section describes how to thread the needle.

The needle threader can be used with sewing
machine needles 75/11 through 100/16.
z
Thread with a thickness of 130/20 or thicker
cannot be used with the needle threader.
z
The needle threader cannot be used with the
wing needle or the twin needle.
z
If the needle threader cannot be used, refer
to "Threading the needle manually (without
using the needle threader)" (page 33).

Pull the end of the thread passed through the needle
bar thread guide to the left, and then pass the
thread through the thread guide disk from the front.

Cut the thread with the cutter on the left side
of the machine.

If the thread is pulled through and cannot be cut
correctly, lower the presser foot so that the thread
is held in place before cutting the thread. If this
operation is performed, skip step

Lower the presser foot lever to lower the
presser foot.

Lower the needle threader lever on the left
side of the machine until it clicks, and then
slowly return the lever to its original position.

The thread is passed through the eye of the
needle.
Note

If the needle was not completely threaded, but a
loop in the thread was formed in the eye of the
needle, carefully pull the loop through the eye of
the needle to pull out the end of the thread.

When pulling out the thread, do not pull
it with extreme force, otherwise the
needle may break or bend.
