There are two stitch regulation modes: Cruise and Precision.
To use Cruise stitch regulation
• Touch the
Regulated button and then touch the Cruise button.
Press the plus (+) or
minus (—) to change
the stitches-per-inch
setting.
Press the plus (+) or
minus (—) to change
the stitches-per-
minute setting.
Press to select Stitch
Regulation.
Press to select Cruise
mode.
After you press the Start/Stop button on the handlebars, the machine immediately begins quilting
according to the stitches-per-minute and stitches-per-inch settings. Similarly, as you bring your quilting to
a stop, the needle will continue stitching at the cruise speed (stitches per minute) until you press the stop
button on the handlebars. The minimum speed of the needle is dependent upon the stitches-per-minute
setting you choose. Baby Lock recommends beginning with a setting of 75. Begin moving the machine to
avoid stitching in place for too long.
Machine Quilting Tip: When to use Cruise stitch regulation
The constant minimum stitching speed featured in the Cruise stitch regulation is useful for
precise placement of stitching, such as when backtracking along the tops of feathers or
when creating sharp points such as the point of a star or the bottom of a heart.
