Turning corners: To change direction of travel, tilt the joystick to the
left or right. This can also be done when the joystick is tilted forwards
or backwards, i.e. while driving backwards or forwards.
4.6. Pushing the wheelchair
If you wish to push the wheelchair in some situations, the brakes must
be unlocked. The wheelchair is easy to push in freewheel mode
.
•
With the yellow rotary switch the actuators can be unlocked and
also coupled again (fig. 36).
•
To be able to push the electric wheelchair manually, turn the switch
downwards. The switch will be automatically engage.

Repeat this procedure with the other actuator. Now you can use the
wheelchair in push mode.

To engage the actuators turn the lever upwards, it will click into
place automatically. Also repeat this procedure on the other side.
•
A slight jerk tells you that the drive mechanism is now engaged and
you can use the driving function.

Caution! Driving on inclines is only permitted if the
seat and back rest are in an upright position.
Caution! Always place the seat and back rest in an
upright position when driving the wheelchair.
Caution! Always use both drives in the same
position (accident hazard).
Caution! The electromagnetic brake is disabled in
this mode.
Caution! Danger of fatal injury! The drives must
only be unlocked on level ground.
Please note that operating the wheelchair in
push mode by uncoupling the drive mechanism
will deactivate the electro-magnetic brakes. The
wheelchair should therefore only be used on level
ground in this mode. Non-observance may lead to
life-threatening situations.
