There is the CMOS memory on the mainboard that can be used to store the system
settings. In case that you don't know how to use the Award BIOS CMOS Setup Utility to
select the settings, you may use this field to load the optimized default which is defined in
the system BIOS. Basically, our engineer recommends the Optimized Default and it will
give a series of parameters for ensuring the best reliability and performance.
If you lost the CMOS data or you don’t know how to complete the setup procedure, you
may use this option to load the Optimized default values from the BIOS default table.
In case that the CMOS data is corrupted, or if you made some CMOS setting and found
that the PC system becomes very unstable, you should try to load the optimized default
value first and then re-configure step by step again.
