Protection from fire:
- Do not activate the device if the environment temperature exceeds 40 degrees Celsius .
- The housing of the ERO 101 may turn hot or warm during intensive use. Always apply a cool -down
time after use, as the electronic components are more fragile during transport while they are still warm
or hot. This prevents negative effect on the lifespan of the fixture.
- Keep flammable objects and materials away from the device, with a minimum distance of 100 mm.
This applies to items such as backdrops, club-decoration, streamers etc.
- Keep highly flammable objects and fluids away from the device at all time.
- Ensure that there is a fair amount of airflow around the device, to provide sufficient cooling for the
device.
- Do not illuminate objects which are positioned closer than 200 mm from the beam output of the ERO
101.
- Built-in fuses and/or thermostats of the fixture should never be bypassed.
- When daisy-chaining the power supply of several ERO 101 fixtures, never connect more than 10
fixtures in a single daisy chain.
- Only use the daisy-chain power outlet to connect other ERO 101 devices, do not connect other types
and brands.
- Keep the optics of the device free from objects, filters, lenses or other materials which may cause
overheating or blocking of the beam output
- Do not modify the device in ways which are not described in this product manual.
Protection from injury
- Do not look directly into the LEDs or beam output of the device when the distance is less than 8. 3
meters, unless you are wearing proper safety glasses. The beam output of the device may result in
temporary or permanent visual loss when an intense beam is projected on short distance. The device
is safe for use when projecting on a larger distance than 8.3 meters.
- Do not use a lens, magnifying glass or other optics to inspect t he LEDs of the device, as a sudden
beam projection may concentrate the intensity of the beam and cause injury.
- Ensure that there is nobody positioned near the device or several devices during activation, as the
device(s) may project a bright beam during startup, while receiving a DMX-signal or starting one of the
internal shows.
- Install the fixture on a fixed surface. During use, the base of the fixture must be positioned so that it is
impossible for the base to move or shake heavily.
- Ensure that your load-bearing construction is capable of holding 10x the total load..
- If the device is used in a rigging construction, use a suitable G-clamp or halfcoupler with a M12 bolt.
Ensure that the length of the wire accessing the fixture is between 20 and 30 m m
- If the device is installed in a position in which it may cause injury when falling down unexpectedly, it
must be secured by a (TÜV-)approved safety cable, capable of holding at least 10x the weight of the
total static load.
- Ensure that there is enough distance between several fixtures for cooling purposes and the
prevention of collision with other objects and/or fixtures .
- Check the body parts and rigging parts for sturdyness and strength before use.
- Ensure that the direct environment of the fixture is cleared and/or use a stable platform when
installing or transporting the fixture, or when you are performing maintenance.
- Do not activate the fixture if body parts are missing, if cable cores are visible or if the device seems
damaged.
