4.  To remove the sanding paper, peel it away from the base.
5.  Ordinary (non Hook & Loop type) sanding paper can also be used.
6.  Release the sandpaper clamp from both sides of the sander.
7.  Insert the end of the sandpaper under one clamp and pull the paper tight over

the base ensuring the holes align with those in the base and then clamp the

other side.

8.  The sanding paper should be kept tightly clamped over the base, otherwise

there could be excessive wear of the base material.

WARNING

!

Do not continue to use the sander with a sanding paper that is over

worn or damaged.

WARNING

!

Do not use the same sanding paper for wood and metal. Metal particles

become embedded in the sanding paper and will scour a wooden sur-

face.

WARNING

!

Take care to regularly clean out the buildup of dust on the base under-

neath the sanding paper and not to let the sanding paper wear com-

pletely down before replacing it. Failure to observe these two precau-

tionary measures can lead to damage to the hooks and loops on the

base and the sanding paper will not attach properly.

NOTE

: Hook and loop sanding base is not a warranty item.

c.   Selecting the speed (Fig.2)

Fig. 2

•   With the speed controller, the rate of

oscillation can be selected (also

during operation). Rotate the speed

controller to choose the suitable

speed.

•   The optimum speed depends on the

material and should be determined by

carrying out a practical test.

•   Stage 1: slow      Stage 6: quick

d.  Mounting the dust extraction (Fig.3)

WARNING

!

Always connect the dust extraction when sanding.

Fig. 3

•   Inhalation of dust particles can be

detrimental to health.

•   To install the dust extraction bag,

aimed at the grooves on the dust

extraction port and then insert the

bag into the port.

•   Rotate the dust extraction bag

clockwise for locking.

•   For efficient operation, always empty

the dust extraction bag

•   Dust extraction tube is also provided.
•   To install the dust extraction tube,

aimed at the grooves on the dust

extraction port and then insert the

tube into the port.

•   Rotate the tube clockwise for locking.
•   A dust extraction system or a suitable

vacuum cleaner is allowed to be

connected to the tube for enhancing

the dust efficiency.

•   Always keep the dust extraction

holes in the sanding base free of

obstructions.

e.  Switch on and off (Fig.4)

Fig. 4

•

Hold the tool firmly to control the

twisting of the tool.

•

To prolong the life of the tool never

overload it.

•

To turn the sander on, push the O/I

switch forward.

•

To stop the sander, push the O/I

switch backward.

NOTE.

Always lift the sander from the work

before switching on or switch off.
