If you experience any of the following symptoms, you may have an interlock failure. It is unsafe to continue to use
the GenePix 4200AL with only one interlock functioning. Please contact Technical Support immediately at either
of the numbers indicated on the rear panel of the GenePix 4200AL.
1.
Mirror and lens assembly keeps moving below the slide after the door is opened.
2.
The blue “Scanning” LED at the front of the GenePix 4200AL doesn’t extinguish when the door is open.
3.
You cannot scan any slides.
4.
You can no longer hear the distinctive metal-on-metal sound that the mechanical interlock makes when it falls
into place. This normally happens when the slide loading door has opened about ¼”.
