EZ-SEAL HEAT SHRINK TUNNEL
SEQUENCE OF OPERATION
Prior to operating the tunnel perform a visual inspection of the exterior and heating portion of the tunnel.
Check for loose bands which may be blocking air flow. If any problems are noted do not operate the tunnel
until it has be inspected/repaired by qualified personnel.
CONVECTIVE (BR/SR Models)
1. Apply power to the tunnel - The face of the temperature controller (1128) will light up.
2. Set the Temperature Controller (1128) to the desired temperature. Press the MENU button (circle with
arrow) until the SP LED is illuminated. Using the UP/DOWN arrows, adjust the setpoint to the
desired temperature. Press the MENU button to return to the main menu.
3. Turn the Heat Up / Cool down switch (1066) to the heat up position.
4. Check that the fan (1057) starts at about 120-130 degrees F.
5. When the tunnel reaches the temperature set-point start the shrinking operation.
6. When completed running, turn the Heat Up / Cool down switch (1066) to the cool down position.
7. Check that the fan (1057) stops when the temperature drops to 110-120 degrees F.
8. After the fan (1057) stops turn off power to the Heat Shrink Tunnel.
RADIANT (IR Models)
1. Apply power to the tunnel - The fan (1054) will start and the pilot light will come on.
2. Set the Proportional Controller Switch (1631) to the desired setting. The tunnel will be ready to run
product in approximately 10 minutes.
3. When completed running, turn the Proportional Controller Switch (1631) to the off position.
4. Allow the fan (1054) to run for 10 to 15 minutes to cool the heat tunnel down.
5. When the tunnel is cool turn off power to the Heat Shrink Tunnel.

PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE
Temperature Controller - Check to ensure temperature is maintained at the desired set temperature. Refer
to the Troubleshooting section (Appendix B) for further information.
Air Blowers - Verify that air blower motor is operating. If the blower fails to operate at temperatures over
130 degrees Fahrenheit, turn all power to the tunnel off and check the electrical circuits for faulty
connections or damaged components. Also, inspect that the blower wheels are tight and correctly
positioned on the motor shaft.
Heater elements - Visually inspect heater elements to ensure that each is operating.
End Curtains - Replace any frayed or worn end flaps.
All Nuts, Bolts and Rivets - Check for tightness and replace as needed. (Do not over-tighten)
Replacement Parts - Replace as needed. - Replace all screws and nuts that have been removed.
