EoC in a CATV distribution network
The Internet from the cable network operator is received at the modem connection of the BSD 963-13N with
the help of a cable modem and forwarded via Ethernet to an EOC 1-31. The EOC modulates the IP data and
feeds it into the distribution network via a TZU 40-04 feed-in switch. The data can be received at the other EoC
units.
The use of a BSD 963-13N antenna socket with return path blocker and a TZU 40-03 or TZU 40-04 inserter is
mandatory in order to achieve sufficient blocking depth for the frequency range of 5...65 MHz. Otherwise there
may be interference with the cable network operator.
When using the devices in a TV network where radio/TV programmes are transmitted below 258 MHz, they
must be additionally protected against interference. For this purpose, install a low-pass filter TZU 198-64 at the
EoC+RF connection on all EOC units. Otherwise, interference may occur during TV reception.

Application notes
You can find application notes on the AXING website about the installation and configuration of the EOC
devices.
