You can now repeat step 6 to set up the SWAP button in combination with the NAV
function. Repeat step 6 but search for NAV1 SWAP and make sure that before you
press start scanning the toggle switch is now set to COM.
Step 7:
We will now assign the rotary FREQ and button to COM/NAV. Start by searching for
DECREASE COM1 which in turn will give you several assignment options. We will assign
the Frequency by Mhz and Khz. Click on the dark grey tab next to DECREASE COM1
(WHOLE) and once programmed the DECREASE COM1 (FRACT). Now make sure your
COM-NAV toggle switch is set to NAV again.
Assign the function DECREASE COM1 (WHOLE) by clicking on START SCANNING and
thereafter switching the toggle switch to COM and after that rotating the FREQ knob
anti-clockwise. After validating the hardware button numbers 32+11 should be
assigned.
You can now repeat the steps to assign INCREASE COM1 the same way but by rotating
the FREQ knob clockwise after START SCANNING is pressed.
To assign DECREASE COM1 (FRACT) in order to be able to also change the frequency in
Khz we will use a combination of 3 buttons, this time button 18 built in the frequency
knob. The button has a toggle function in contrary to all other rotary knob buttons
which have momentary switch functionality.
