Ranges shown in the booklet are referred to a person crossing the area protected by SPIDER PA.
If the detector is next to a street or to any device generating sudden temperature changes ( see machinery for air treatment), range is sensibly
higher compared to the indication given.
SPIDER PA: to reduce the risk of false detections, decrease the range of detector adjusting the mirror of lower pir.
SPIDER PA WS: to reduce risk of false signalling, adjust the range acting on Jumper S1 and S2.
Detection area is increased
whenever important temperature
changes between ground and
moving object occur.
If the detection area is next to a street (and nothing is
inbetween) the SPIDER PA might detect big objects
moving or heat sources even over the range required.
In this case, in order to reduce risk of false detection,
it is necessary to decrease detector range.
