Seasonal maintenance
If you do not need to use this machine for a while, and it will be sitting idly
for a long time, here is how you can store the unit to make sure you maintain
the unit in good condition for future use.
1.
Remove the water drain
plug in the back and drain any water that is in
the
drain bucket.
2.
Keep the air conditioner running in fan
mode
for 2 hours to allow the
inside to dry and
reduce risk of mold.
3.
Shut down the unit and disconnect the power cord.
4.
Remove and clean the air filter and then re-install.
5.
Dismantle all accessories such as the exhaust
hose and window vent
kit and prepare it for
storage.
6.
Take the batteries out of the remote control.
7.
Place a plastic bag over the entire unit to keep
dust from getting into the
internals, and store in a
cool and dry place.
If the machine is being reused after being idle for a long time, or after it has
been in storage, please make sure to check:
1.
Check to make sure the water drain plug and air filters have been installed.
2.
Check whether the power cord has been damaged before plugging the
unit in,
and make sure not to operate the unit if the cord has been
damaged.
3.
Re-install batteries into the remote control.
4.
Re-install all installation parts per the installation instructions provided
in this
manual.
