The DIP switch 1 to 8 definitions are as follows:

• Switch 1 - controls channels 1 and 2 
• Switch 2 - controls channels 3 and 4 
• Switch 3 - controls channels 5 and 6
• Switch 4 - controls channels 7 and 8 
• Switch 5 - controls channels 9 and 10
• Switch 6 - controls channels 11 and 12 
• Switch 7 - controls channels 13 and 14
• Switch 8 - controls channels 15 and 16

The example above shows a configuration where channel pairs 3-4, 

13-14, and 15-16 are set for stereo operation. 

Mode Select Switches

Positions 9 and 10 of the DIP switch are used for card mode selection. 

There are four possible switch combinations; three operational modes 

and one test mode are provided.

The Y1 card is scanned during the Yamaha console boot-up procedure 

only. It is therefore important to remember that mode changes should  

be made only while the console is off. If it is necessary to alter the Y1 

card operational mode after the console has been booted, a console 

restart will be required in order for the mode change to be recognized.

The Yamaha console software recognizes the Aviom  Y1 

A-Net card ID’s and will display “Aviom” in all text fields 

related to the expansion card.
