Do not use the encoder near water or expose the encoder to dripping or splashing. Do
not place objects filled with liquids, such as vases above the encoder.
Do not expose the encoder to rain or moisture.
This encoder is designed for indoor use only away from moisture, corrosive vapors,
and explosions. For outdoor or hazardous environments, install the encoder inside a
protective housing rated to withstand rain, sleet, snow, ice, corrosive vapors, explosions
or other weather or hazardous conditions that the encoder may be exposed to at the
location.
Installation of this encoder must be performed by qualified personnel only and conform
to all local codes.
Use only installation methods and materials capable of supporting four times the
maximum specified load.
Only power the encoder using a Class 2 or Power over Ethernet power supply that is UL
Listed, CSA approved, or bears the CE mark.
Do not connect the encoder directly to mains power for any reason.
