IP Address Selection
The encoder automatically obtains an IP address. Once connected to a network, the encoder
will attempt to locate and obtain an IP address from a DHCP server. If this fails, the encoder
will use Zeroconf (APIPA) to choose an IP address.
When the encoder’s IP address is set using Zeroconf, its IP address is in the 169.254.*
subnet.
The encoder can be set to a static IP address from the Avigilon Control Center software.
