Chapter 1

Installing a MEDIArray ZX4 Drive
Enclosure

This chapter describes how to install a MEDIArray

™

ZX and connect it to a

MEDIASwitch 16-4G. This manual assumes that you have the
MEDIASwitch 16-4G with Small Form-Factor Pluggable (SFP) connectors
already installed.

The Avid Unity MediaNetwork software requirement when using the
MEDIArray ZX3 or MEDIArray ZX4 is v4.0 or later.

This chapter of the manual only explains the MediaSwith 16-4G. Connections
for the 9100 and 9200 MEDIASwitches and the 7X00 MEDIAswitches can be
found in
