Clip the cable tie to free the ribbon cable that is attached to
the inside of the card slot cover.

Remove the card from its packing material. Hold the card by
its edges.

Connect the ribbon cable to the card socket. Make sure the
key on the connector is aligned with the slot on the socket. Se-
cure the connection by moving the retaining clips on each side
of the socket connector inward. Check to make sure the ribbon
cable is connected securely.

Slide the output card into the slot, firmly pressing on both
ends of the card so that it fits snugly in the slot.

Secure the card to the rear panel using the four screws you
removed earlier.

Proceed to “Completing and Confirming Installation for
Completing and Confirming
Installation for Mix Rack and SC48
To complete and confirm installation:

Reconnect power and any audio cables to your system.

Turn on your system.

In VENUE, go
Option > Devices
tab view your system hard-
ware status. The newly installed AO16 Card should be dis-
played.

Go to Patchbay > Outputs and click the Stage tab to verify
that the outputs are available in the Patchbay.

If the AO16 card does not appear, check the ribbon cable
connection inside the rack. Shut down your system, then
disconnect and reconnect the ribbon cable to the card, mak-
ing sure to properly seat the connector in the ribbon cable
socket on the card.

In the standalone software, you can modify I/O card config-
urations to match your system’s configuration. In the
standalone software, go to Options > Device and right-click
the Mix Rack graphic and choose the I/O from the pop-up
menu.
