Chapter 2: Installing AO16
This chapter provides information on installing the AO16 card
in the following VENUE Hardware:
• Mix Rack (see “Installing in Mix Rack” on page 3)
• SC48 (see “Installing in SC48” on page 4)
• Stage 48 (See “Installing in Stage 48” on page 6)
Installing in Mix Rack
In the base configuration of Mix Rack, output slot D contains
an AO16 card. Mix Rack supports up to a total of two AO16
cards. These instructions show how to install an AO16 card in
slot E of Mix Rack.
To install an AO16 card in Mix Rack:

Shut down the VENUE system, and turn off power to the
Mix Rack.

Disconnect all cables from Mix Rack.

Remove Mix Rack’s front panel cover by unscrewing its
mounting screws (#1 Phillips).

On the back panel of Mix Rack, locate the output slot (as
noted in Figure 2 below) and remove the card slot cover.

Remove the card from its packing material. Hold the card by
its edges.

Gently slide the card into the empty slot and secure it to the
rack using the four mounting screws.

Inside the rack (via the open front panel), tighten the captive
thumbscrews to secure the card to the rack’s chassis.
If you are replacing an AO16 card, you must first remove
one of the cards. See the Venue Service Guide for instruc-
tions on removing cards.
