Troubleshooting
Below is a listing of most common problems and the solutions for them. More options concerning the engine
can be found from the operators manual of the engine.
Problem
Hydraulic attachment does not
work when the auxiliary
hydraulics control lever is moved
NOTICE: This concerns only machines
with conventional type quick couplers.
If the loader is equipped with the multi
connector and the hydraulic attachment
doesn't work, the hoses of the attachment
or the machine multi connector are
mounted on wrong fittings. Check and
correct, contact Avant service if necessary.
Engine doesnt rev up or runs
unevenly
Engine does not start.
Attachment hoses will not go into
the quick couplers of the machine
(concerns only machines with
conventional type quick couplers).
The machine moves after
parking brake has been engaged.
There is a strong smell of gas.
Cause
Attachment hoses are not
coupled or they are coupled
wrongly in the quick couplers.
Attachment hoses are not
coupled or they are coupled
wrongly in the quick couplers.
Not enough gas in the bottle.
Gas valve not opened enough.
Gas filters clogged.
Auxiliary hydraulics control lever
is in locking position. Gas valve
closed or gas bottle empty.
Battery empty or damaged, or
battery disconnect switch is
switched off.
Blown fuse no. 3 (fuses in the
fuse box are numbered).
There is back pressure in the
auxiliary hydraulics line.
The pins of the parking brake
mechanism have not locked
properly in the wheels.
Parking brake engages the front
wheels.
Leakage in gas system.
Remedy
Make sure that the hoses are properly
connected into the quick couplers,
change the place of the hoses if
necessary.
Auxiliary hydraulics have double
acting pressure couplers (female)
and a return line (male coupler)
Operating direction of the attachment
depends on how the hoses are
connected in the quick couplers.
Replace quick couplers.
Change new gas bottle.
Open the valve 2-3 rounds.
Change LPG filter. Clean or
change strainer at the end of gas
hose.
Turn the lever in center (neutral)
position.
Open the gas valve and make
sure there is gas in the bottle.
Turn battery disconnect switch
to ON, check charge of the
battery.
Change the fuse.
Release the pressure by moving
the auxiliary hydraulics control
lever in both directions.
Drive slowly forward or
backward in order to lock the
parking brake.
When releasing the parking
brake do this in opposite order.
If the machine must stay in a
slope, park it so that the heavier
end is on downhill side.
Stop the engine immediately,
close gas valve and switch of
battery disconnect switch.
Change faulty components,
contact Avant service.
