There are 3 alternative positions
for placing the driving wheels.
Make sure that both wheels are
in the same position!
To mount or dismount the wheel press the button in the hub of the wheel.
Note! Check that the wheel has been properly mounted by trying to
pull it.
There are three alternative positions for the driving wheels.
Note! Changing of wheel position may only be made in
consultation with an occupational therapist.
The rear position makes the wheelchair more stable with less
risk for tilting.
The centre position makes the wheelchair easier to drive but
with slightly increased risk for tilting. Anti-tip device must be used.
The front position makes the wheelchair easy to drive but with
increased risk for tilting. Anti-tip protection must be used.
Loosen the brake adjustment.
Remove the wheel.
Move the plastic plug to an unused hole.
Apply the wheel to desired hole.
Adjust the brakes!

9. Maintenance
Use a moist towel with some washing-up liquid to
whipe off dust and dirt from frame and plastic parts.
For upholstery use vacuumcleaner and upholstery
cleaner. The seat cushion is removable and can be
machine washed in 40 degrees C. Note! Do not dry
in tumble-drier or drying cupboard!
By normal use the Carony system is maintenance
free, except for change of tyres, inflating the tubes
and adjusting the brakes. The adjustment shall be
made as soon as reduced brake capacity is noticed
or if the wheel position has been changed. A 10 mm
wrench is needed. The brake is placed on a bended
profile that can be moved forward or backwards to
adjust the position of the brake. Loosen the hexago-
nal screw. Adjust until full brake capacity is achieved.
Tighten the screw! Repeat on the second wheel.
Check that brake capacity is equal on both wheels.
Do not exeed the above tyre pressures -
risk of explosion.
Air pressure
Normal air pressure in rear wheel shall be maxi-
mum 7 bar. Front wheels are puncture free and
have no air pressure.

To fold in or remove the anti-tip device:
pull out the release button.
The Carony must be height adjusted to
lowest position when driving. To avoid risk
for tilting the Carony should be equipped
with anti-tip device.
An inaccurate position of the driving wheels
can result in a chair which is unbalanced for
the user. If the position of the driving wheels
have been changed, the brakes must also be
adjusted.
