•  Inspect the system thoroughly before use, ensure the locking mechanism is working correctly 

and  the cable is retracting fully.

•  Ensure the cable is in good condition and free of any defects.
•  Inspect the anchor points to ensure they are still secure and able to sustain the loads required 

in the event of a drop load being applied.

•  Ensure the load that needs to be secured has a suitable connection point to connect the Load 

arrestor to.
