b. Carefully remove the diaphragm assembly (

d. Unscrew (rotate left / anti-clockwise) the nut (

Do NOT rotate the diaphragm shaft as this may tear the diaphragm.
e. Carefully push the diaphragm (

g. If the diaphragm requires replacement, pull it from the shaft, then remove the retaining ring (

the retaining ring on the new diaphragm, then push it onto the diaphragm shaft - ensure it is fully seated on the

Troubleshooting and Maintenance
Turn the pool pump OFF before performing any maintenance activities.
The pool cleaner uses a "diaphragm" that "pulsates" through the
sucking action of the pump. The pulse action causes the cleaner to
move around the pool. If at any time the pool cleaner either stops
moving, or the movement is slowed considerably, check the following:
1. That the pool pump is ON.
2. That the pool pump, filter, skimmer box or pool pump inlet are not
obstructed, and that flow through the system is normal.
3. That the pool cleaner hose is not obstructed and that all connections
are sealed.
4. That the "mouth" (

) is clear of any debris and is undamaged.
5. That the diaphragm (
