Check for a device called Vortex AU88x0 Multifunction PCI Platform .
If you see this, it means the multifunction adapter, which works with the other Aureal-specific device
drivers, was installed properly.

Go back to the main list of devices in the Device Manager tab.

Look for Sound, video and game controllers and click the plus sign (+) next to it.
8.
Check for these four lines:
• Vortex AU88x0 Gameport Interface
• Vortex AU88x0 MPU-401 Interface
• Vortex AU88x0 PCI Audio
• Vortex AU88x0 Sound Blaster Pro Emulation
If you see these four lines, then each of the device drivers was installed properly.
9.
Close the System Properties window.
What does an exclamation mark (!) mean?
If you see an exclamation mark (!) in a yellow circle next to any of these devices, it means that there was a
conflict or a problem with the installation. Click the
Properties
button to display the Properties window for
that device. Look in the section called “Device Status” for additional information about the problem. See
“Troubleshooting” on page 63 for additional help.
