11 Multiple mobile units
Up to two additional mobile units can be logged on to your base station. One mobile unit
can be logged on to up to three further base stations.
11.1 Logging on and logging off mobile units
11.1.1 Logging on DECT6500 mobile units
If the mobile unit has not yet been logged on to a base station, press the
REG.
display button. Otherwise, press the
MENU
display button. Then select
SYSTEM
from the menu and confirm with
OK
.
Press
the
OK
display button once.
Press and hold the page button
on the base station until you hear several
signal tones. Now log on the new mobile unit to the base station within 60
seconds.
Now enter the PIN code of the base station (factory setting 0 0 0 0) and confirm
with
OK
. A search will now be carried out for the base station.
As soon as the base station has been found, the internal number that has been
allocated to the mobile unit will appear briefly in the display. The mobile unit is
logged on and can be used for external and internal calls. An internal number will
be automatically assigned to the mobile unit. The main mobile unit already logged
on has the internal number 1. All further mobile units that are logged on will be
numbered in the sequence in which they were logged on (internal phone numbers
2 to 4). This internal telephone number will be indicated on the right of the display
next to the name.
11.1.2 Logging on other DECT-GAP telephones to the base station
In order to log on a DECT-GAP mobile unit from another manufacturer, follow the
instructions in the other supplier's operating manual and then press the
button
until you hear several signal tones.
Use the PIN-Code 0 0 0 0 to log on.
Due to the large number of different mobile units, it is not possible to guarantee all
the functions provided.
Note:
Mobile units from other manufacturers can be integrated into the telephone
system by means of the internationally adopted GAP standard. However, all functions
that are supported by the DECT6500 are only available in conjunction with a
DECT6500 mobile unit. In the same way, you can use a DECT6500 mobile unit on
base stations from other manufacturers, as long as these units work using the GAP
standard.
Information for using the mobile unit on other base stations:
Due to the large number of different manufacturers, it is not possible to guarantee all the
functions when using the mobile unit on another base station. It is possible that not all
the functions supported by the DECT6500 mobile unit will be available.
