SPECIAL FUNCTIONS
Note:
After successful programming you will hear a positive signal tone. If a wrong input is made, a nega-
tive tone sounds. You can exit programming mode at any time using the
button.
4.1
SETTING CALL TONES (RINGING MELODIES)
The handset can respond with four different call tone melodies when a call comes in. Melody 1 is the factory
setting.
1.
Press the Save button
and the number keys

on the keypad.

Press the Save button
again. You will hear the present call tone for a few seconds and the
display shows the call tone as a number 1 to 4.

Now select the required call tone melody by pressing the buttons

to
4
. The selected melody rings
during the selection process. Entering a different number terminates the programming process.

Press the Save button
to store the required call tone.
4.2
REGULATE OR DESELECT HANDSET CALL TONE
In order to hear incoming calls loudly and clearly, put down the handset with the display downwards. If you
only want to receive incoming calls with a soft call tone, put down the handset with the display uppermost.
The handset call tone can be completely switched off if you ever want to be undisturbed.

to save the required setting. You will hear an audible signal in
confirmation.
WARNING! If the call tone is switched off, incoming calls will no longer be heard but only signalled by
the LED, which then flashes on the base station and by the display on the handset.
