Features
Here are some of the features that make
the Pantages G4 very unique, and unlike
any other amplifier:
• Configuration Flexibility
With the Pantages G4, you have all
you need to prodigiously power 3, 3.1
or 5 channels of your theater. Tradi-
tionally, 5 channels of amplification
means you can power your 5 speak-
ers, but not only can you do that, you
can set up channels 1-3 as your LCRs
and power that passive 8 ohm sub
from one of the two pairs that can
be bridged – 600 watts. Perhaps you
have 2 front full range that are super
power hungry, use the Pantages G4
with channels 1&2, 4&5 bridged for
a stupendous 600 watts per channel,
giving you a 3 channel amp.
• Built For The Long Haul
“Bulletproof” is the phrase that best
describes the Pantages G4. Every-
thing about this amplifier is built
for the long haul, built for life! This
amplifier has been designed with
durability in mind, fully backed by
AudioControl’s 5 year warranty. The
cool running Class H design minimiz-
es component-damaging heat, while
the Lightdrive system protects your
speakers from harmful harmonics
caused by clipping.
• Class H Design
Most amplifiers have one speed, all
on. That means that during most of
music, up to 90% of the amp’s power
is just going up in heat. The Class H
design takes care of this problem
by automatically and intelligently
adjusting the power supply to fit the
power demands of the moment.
The result is much cooler operation
without the need for bulky heatsinks
or fans.
• Lightdrive Protection System
The Lightdrive protection circuitry
protects this amplifier like a mom-
ma bear to her cubs and defends
speakers against clipping, distortion,
damage, and annoying teenage
beach party movies, even if the
movie festival lasts all weekend. Each
channel is independently protected,
so a problem in one channel will not
affect the rest of the system.
• High Definition BiMOS Output
Design

began its existence at our factory in
Mountlake Terrace, Washington, a
few miles north of Seattle. Here, we
also build precision test instruments,
equalizers and analyzers and a totally
awesome line of car stereo compo-
nents. AudioControl started in 1977
and has won so many audio industry
awards for design and engineering
excellence that our reception room
wall is starting to sag.
