Using the DW5066 as local output 

 

An additional feature of the DW5066 is that it can be used as a local audio output. The signal 
from a direct output of the system controller can be copied and simultaneously made available on 
the DW5066. This can be useful for monitoring, recording and some other purposes. One of both 
audio inputs (RCA or XLR) will be lost in this case 

A small modification shall be made on the internal connections of the DW5066.  

This action may only be performed by qualified service personnel and make 
sure the wall panel is disconnected from the system while making this 
modification!! 

A description how this modification shall be made is described below.

1) The back cover of the DW5066 wall panel shall be removed. This can be done by carefully 
untightening the four screws on the back side of the unit.
