WARNING!
If the firewood is damp or used incorrectly, it can lead to excessive formation of soot in
the chimney and cause a chimney fire:
• In this case, shut off all air supply to the stove if there is a valve installed as an air
connection from the outside
• Contact the fire department
• Never
use
water to put out the fire!
• Afterwards, you should ask your chimney sweep to check the stove and chimney
IMPORTANT!
• In order to ensure safe combustion, there must be clear yellow flames or clear
embers
• the firewood should not be smouldering.
If the firewood is only burning slowly without flames or is smoking and too little air is
added, unburnt fumes will develop.
Flue gasses may ignite and explode. This may cause damage to equipment and possible
human injury.
Never
fully close the air supply when lighting the stove.
