Use of the TCU
After connecting the cables, the TCU is ready to use with Theta. Turn on both Theta and the TCU.
Place the ceramic base plate on Theta sample stage so that the thick red cable is located behind the
instrument. Insert the environmental chamber on the ceramic base plate in the slot reserved for it (fits
only one way), then place the ceramic lid on top of the environmental chamber so that the windows are
visible and so that the needle fits through the hole at the top into the sample compartment. For individual
steps see pictures below from left to right.

. Setting up the temperature control.
Start OneAttension software and enable the temperature control in the Global settings located in the
Setup tab. After this target temperature of the temperature control unit can be adjusted from the recipe
sheet. In addition, the ambient temperature can be set, which influence on the heating power.
Temperature control unit needs to be enables from the recipe sheet. In the experiment tab, monitor sheet
will show the real time temperature if the temperature probe is used.
