Starting
The update mechanism starts automatically, as soon as a USB-key is plugged into the
USB-jack at the rear of the DEP

T6. The system checks if there is a valid and
authenticated data on the stick, and if so, the update mechanism takes over the control
of the user interface from the host application. On the front panel, the orange

LED lights up.
Depending on the type of upgrade that is to be performed, either of the following two
confirmation screens is displayed:

, the upgrade is aborted and the following information screen
appears:

Please remove
the stick
When you remove the USB-key, the system displays a screen prompting for
confirmation to restart the DEP

Upgrade aborted

When you press

the system restarts and puts the DEP

T6 back in the state in
which it was before the upgrade.
If you remove the USB-key without answering

, the system also interprets this as
an abortion and displays a screen prompting for confirmation to restart the DEP
