SPARK PLUG SERVICE
1. Remove the spark plug cap.
2. Clean dirt and debris around the spark
plug base.
3. Carefully remove the spark plug using
the supplied wrench.
4. Visually inspect the spark plug. If the
insulator is cracked or the base is chipped,
discard the spark plug and replace
immediately. If no damage is present,
clean the body of the plug.
5. Measure the plug cap with a feeler gauge.
The gap should
be between
0.7 and 0.8mm
(0.028 to 0.31”).
Adjust gap by
carefully bending
the side electrode.
6. Re-install the spark plug and spark plug cap.
Make sure the spark plug is tightened
securely. An improperly installed spark plug
can damage the generator.

arrestor maintenance.
1. Unscrew muffler end cover bolts and
remove muffler cover.
2. Remove retaining screw from spark
arrestor and remove from muffler.

from spark arrestor screen. Inspect the
screen for holes and replace if necessary.
4. Re-install the spark arrestor.
