4 DCC Operation
4.1 Function Keys
The following table lists the QSI Quantum features that have been pre-assigned to DCC function keys. Operation of
these function keys can be different in the
Neutral
state (locomotive stopped) and the moving states (locomotive
moving in
Forward
or in
Reverse
). After you have selected a locomotive on your DCC system, simply press any of the
function keys listed below to produce the sound (or other effect) described in the table below. Those features marked
“Titan only” are available only in Atlas locomotives that are equipped with QSI Quantum Titan sound-decoders
(firmware Version 8 or 9). All other features are available in Atlas locomotives with either Quantum Titan or earlier
(Version 7 firmware) QSI sound-decoders.
