Once the probe has been fitted the button should be pressed again to send the current
tank level to the servers. To do this press in the centre  of the stylised mark as indicated
in *fig 6 for at least one second.

The first time this hidden button is pushed, lights will indicate the device status.

Status Lights during installation

During installation there are two lights that inform you of the sensors  progress.

The

red

light concerns whether the unit is connected to the GSM network.

The

green

light informs of various stages and readings.

When first initiated the

green

light will flash rapidly once or twice. This is the unit taking

a series of readings to establish the current tank level.

After this the GSM will be started and the

red

light will begin to flash. At first it will flash

once every second

ʹ

this is the unit searching for a connection to the mobile network.

After approximately 30 seconds it should slow down to once every four seconds. This
indicates that it has registered onto the network. If it never slows down to one in four
then a  network is not present or has too low a signal.

After the SmartGuard logged on, the

green

light will flash to indicate signal strength. It

will flash from one to five times

ʹ

 with five being the  strongest.

It will now wait for approximately 4 minutes with the

green

 light 'flickering' rapidly and

the

red

light slow flashing. After this time, the    lights should go out and the unit is now

monitoring for level and re-filling.
