Electrical  

It  is  important  that  the  machine  operator  read  this  manual 

and  is familiar  with  all  the  functions  and  safety  concerns  of 

the unit before operating.  

 

MAIN POWER SWITCH

 

The main power On/Off switch is located under the table and to 
the right.  It is used to turn the power on to the whole machine.  
This machine requires 220V Single Phase, 5 Amp service.  If you 
have problems with the power not coming on when the On button 
is pressed you may check this switch by doing the following.  

 

 

 

Make sure that the machine is unplugged before proceeding and that all lock out/tag out procedures have 
been correctly followed. Loosen the cover screw found at the bottom of the switch.  You do not have to 
remove the screw.  Remove the front cover.  

 

Check that the 5.5 reading on the Amp Dial is in 
line  with  the  pointer.    Press  the  reset  button,  if it 
“pops”  back  in  then  the  contact  had  gotten 
overloaded at some point.  Replace the cover, plug 
the machine in,  and try  turning the machine back 
on.    If  the  contact  still  trips  the  overload,  then  
there  is  a  problem  either  with  the  wiring  or  the 
contactor.    Use  the  wiring  diagram  for  your 
machine in the parts manual to check the voltages.
