Chapter 3

Operation

Firmware Upgrades

1. Download the VC881’s latest firmware from the ATEN website.

2. Use a firmware upgrade cable to connect the VC881’s Firmware Upgrade

port to the computer to which you downloaded the firmware package.

Note:

The firmware upgrade cable is not included in the package. Please
contact your dealer for more information.

3. Press and hold the Firmware Upgrade button on the VC881’s rear panel.

4. Release the Firmware Upgrade button until all panel LEDs blink. The

VC881 is now in the Firmware Upgrade mode.

5. Replug the power adapter to the VC881 to restart the unit.

6. Run the firmware upgrade file and follow the on-screen instructions to

complete the upgrade.
