Operating instructions
Preface
Please read these operating
instructions carefully. Above all,
comply with the safety instructions
contained in the first pages of
these operating instructions!
Please keep the operating instruc-
tions readily available for future ref-
erence. Please also hand them over
to possible subsequent owners of
the unit.
Only trained qualified personnel
with the appropriate workshop
equipment should carry out mainte-
nance of the braking system.

ration of compressed air and fluid

Safety instructions for
the appliance
Only operate with pure
brake fluid based on glycols
(DOT 3, DOT 4, DOT 5.1)
Oily products will destroy
the unit.
Improper repair work may cause
significant danger to the user. No
liability will be accepted for any
possible damage due to misuse or
error in handling of the unit, or if
used for a purpose different than
that intended.
Safety instructions for
the brake fluid
• Keep the brake fluid perma-
nently locked away and store it
in its original packaging so that
children and other persons who
cannot read the labels have no
access to it.
• Drinking of brake fluid may cause
poisonous symptoms such as
headache, dizzy spells, stomach
pains, vomiting, diarrhoea, cramps
and even unconsciousness.
Consumption of larger
quantities may have fatal
results!
• In the event that brake fluid
comes into contact with eyes or
sensitive parts of the body rinse
the eyes or parts of the body with
sufficient clean water. In case of
eye irritation you should consult
an oculist.
• To avoid skin lesions ensure that
brake fluid is in contact with the
skin for as short a time as pos-
sible.
• Change any contaminated cloth-
ing as quickly as possible.
• If brake fluid comes in contact
with paint immediately rinse with
plenty of water.
Initial operation
1. Open the air shut-off valve (1).
Valve open = locking handle is in
the flowing direction of the valve
Valve closed = locking handle
is in a cross direction to the
flowing direction of the valve;
release air pressure completely.
2. Remove possible dirt around the
fluid filler (2)! Open the fluid filler
joint; turn the star-shaped grip
(3) to the left side until you may
lift off the complete joint.
3. Fill up the brake fluid to the
lower edge of the feed hole (this
also applies when re-filling). The
air shut-off valve (1) must be
open during filling!
4. Close the fluid filler joint (2)
pressure tight.
5. Close the stopcock (4) at the
filling tube (10). Stopcock closed
= locking handle is in a cross
direction to the flow direction of
the filling tube Stopcock open
= locking handle is in the flow
direction of the filling tube
6. Fill with air pressure at the air filler
neck (5) until the safety valve (6)
starts to blow off (6.5 bar); close
the air shut-off valve (1) now.
7. The hand wheel of the pressure
controller (7) must be turned up
to the stop of the counter nut
(8). The pressure gauge (9) indi-
cates a reduced working pres-
sure of 2 Bar (200000 Pa).
8. For bleeding of the unit connect
the ATE filling pistol (F) or ATE
vent connection (C) to the filling
tube (10/11) at the closed stop-
cock and hold it over a vessel.
Open the stopcock and release
the brake fluid until it non-
porously liquidises.
