ASAI Installation

Prerequisites for ASAI Installation

To install the Adjunct/Switch Application Interface feature on the CONVERSANT  
Voice Information System (VIS) Version 3.1, you need the following:

■

One or more Tip/Ring cards (IVP4, IVP6, or a VRS6) with Signal Processor 
installed

OR

one or more T1 cards (AYC11 or AYC3B) with Signal Processor installed

■

Network Support Utilities (1.2) Version 2.0 

■

One ISDN PC Interface (IPCI) card 

■

The Adjunct/Switch Application Interface feature package

■

Configurator program output

For information on installing the VIS software and hardware, refer to the CON-
VERSANT Voice Information System Software Installation and Upgrade and the 
hardware installation and upgrade book for your platform. 

NOTE

:

Confirm that Adjunct/Switch Application Interface is installed and available 
on the switch you are using. Refer to the  DEFINITY Communications Sys-
tem Generic 1 and Generic 3i Installation and Test Manual , 555-230-104.
