6. Standardization （Zero setting）
CAUTION
●Perform standardization with a standard liquid in a 18 to 25℃ environment.
●When the refractometer is used for the first time after purchase or the battery is replaced,
make sure to perform the "standardization"(zero setting) for the refractometer.
●Do not use any metallic implement for dropping the standard liquid on the prism because
the metal tool possibly damages the prism surface.
(1)Clean the prism surface thoroughly.
(2)Apply the standard liquid.
(3)Press the ZERO setting
(Standardization) button.
Flashes 3 times.
(4)Standardization (Zero setting)
is complete.
000 is displayed.
(5)Clean the prism with alcohol.
*If [nnn] is displayed, covering the sample stage by hand, press the ZERO setting button again.
