ASUS EPU-4 Engine

ASUS EPU-4 Engine is an energy-efficient tool that provides you with a total system 

 

power-saving solution. It detects the current computer loading and intelligently adjusts 

the power in real-time. It automatically adjusts the power usage for the CPU, VGA card, 

hard drives, and CPU fan. It provides you with these modes to choose from: 

Auto

High 

Performance

, and 

Maximum Power Saving Mode

.

From the Windows taskbar, click the 

ASUS EPU-4 icon.

Installing ASUS EPU-4

To install ASUS EPU-4 Engine:

1. 

Place the support DVD into the optical drive. The 

Drivers

 menu appears if Autorun is 

enabled on your computer.

If Autorun is disabled, double-click the 

setup.exe

 file from the ASUS EPU-4 Engine folder 

in the support DVD. 

Click 

ASUS EPU-4 Engine

Follow the onscreen instructions to complete the installation.

Launching ASUS EPU-4

To launch ASUS EPU-4:

When you launch ASUS EPU-4 for the 

first time, a message appears asking 

you to calibrate the EPU functions. 

 

Click 

Calibrate

 and wait for a few 

seconds for the calibration process 

to complete. The ASUS EPU-4 main 

menu appears.

Calibration allows the system to detect the CPU properties for optimal power management.
