Locking
The Technilock ® L4 locks automatically when
· no control signal is present,
· there is no cylinder use and
· the striking plate is recognised.
The process is interrupted when the door is opened during the locking process.
The status signals are updated after locking has taken place.
Locking via the locking cylinder
The manual locking with the locking cylinder is an exceptional case, which can arise in the event of the
failure of the automatic function in the “fail-locked” product variant: With the presence of an error (or
defect) in the door, on the striking plate or on the
Technilock ® L4 , the door is no longer locked automati-
cally, so the door can be locked with the locking cylinder. Of course, this requires that the error does not
impair this function.
Sabotage-Meldungen sind nicht möglich, da dem System die Fehlerursache nicht bekannt ist und somit
permanent Sabotage melden würde.
Example of manual locking
The striking plate was manipulated with magnetics and can no longer be recognised by the Technilock ® L4 .
The Technilock ® L4 remains unlocked and the door can be used. The status signals indicate "door open &
unlocked“. The Technilock ® L4 can be locked manually with the locking cylinder.
Note!
After manual locking, the Technilock ® L4 cannot be unlocked with the control signal. The only way to
release the manual locking is to unlock the cylinder.
Unlocking
The Technilock ® L4 is unlocked with
· the locking cylinder,
· by an electric control signal.
An unlocking process is initiated in each case. The status signals are updated after unlocking has taken
place.
Unlocking via locking cylinder
The unlocking of the Technilock ® L4 remains effective while the door is closed until the cylinder unlocking
is undone.
Unlocking via activation signal
The unlocking of the Technilock ® L4 remains effective while the door is closed as long the control signal is
active for at least as it is set at the rotary switch (“Settings on the rotary switch”, page 29).
