Mounting the striking plate
The striking plate must be installed in the door frame so that the latch bolt and the control latch can slide
over a level surface. The control latch must be pressed in continuously in the process.

Create the striking plate pocket and finish all holes in accordance with Pic. 10. Alternatively, finish a
customer-provided striking plate (“Finishing customer-provided striking plates”, page 45).

Clean the striking plate pocket and all holes by blowing them out or vacuuming.

Screw in the appropriate locking plate for the
security lock 309
to be screwed in. Stack multiple striking
plates in order to appropriately adjust the rebate gap.
4 Test
the
security lock 309
for ease of movement.
The

is ready for use.
Mounting fittings and locking cylinders

Mount the fittings.

Place the lock cylinder in, and keep in mind that the cylinder’s locking nose is in the middle position
(Pic. 8).

Fix the locking cylinder into place with the fixing screw.

Testing the security lock 309

Test all functions of the
security lock 309

Check whether the latch and auxiliary latch bolt of the lock are pushed back by the same impact edge.

Check whether all bolts can freely extend and retract without transverse shear stress after installation
(Pic. 6).

is completely assembled and tested for functionality.
